Developers love Resend for a reason. The API is small and obvious, the SDKs are good, and you can send your first email in minutes. Amazon SES, meanwhile, is the cheapest reliable way to send email on the internet, at $0.10 per 1,000 messages, and one of the least pleasant to set up.
Stamp0 puts the two together: the Resend API, sending through SES in your own AWS account.
The gap we kept falling into
Every product we have built needed transactional email. Each time we faced the same choice:
- Pay a reseller. Great experience, but the bill grows with every email, up to $0.90 per 1,000, and your message content lives with the vendor.
- Use SES directly. A fraction of the cost, but you hand-copy DKIM records, wire configuration sets to SNS or EventBridge, build your own event store to answer "did this email arrive?", and fill in a form to get out of the sandbox.
Neither felt right, and AWS's July 2026 pricing plans did not change it: they bundle features into SES billing, but the console is the same.
What Stamp0 does
- Connect AWS in one click. A CloudFormation Quick Create link sets up a least-privilege role, event routing and a bucket in your account. No Lambda, nothing to patch.
- Verify your domain automatically. DKIM, MAIL FROM and DMARC are written for you on Route 53; for any other DNS provider you get a copy-paste list (Cloudflare automation is coming soon).
- Send with the Resend SDK. Change the API key and base URL. Your html, text and React Email code stays the same; Resend hosted templates are not supported yet.
From there you get an activity log for every email, deliverability health against SES's own thresholds, inboxes for received mail, and webhooks in the Resend format.
Your account, your data
Stamp0 is a control plane. Mail goes out from your AWS account, on your bill and your sender reputation. Bodies, attachments and raw inbound mail are written to an S3 bucket you own; we keep metadata so the dashboard can show what happened. If you leave, SES keeps working, because it was always yours.
Built for agents
We think agents will run a lot of email operations, so the MCP server is a first-class way to use Stamp0, not an afterthought. Its tools do whole jobs, "set up my domain", "why did bounces spike", "draft my production-access request", and agent keys can be locked to a single inbox.
Pricing that does not punish growth
AWS already charges you per email, so we don't. Stamp0 is a flat monthly price per workspace, free up to 50,000 emails a month. At a million emails a month, Stamp0 plus SES comes to about $115, against $650 on Resend.
